RAPOON — The Silent Trumpets
More Info
"The Silent Trumpets was recorded at a time when I was trying to deal with deep depression, an affliction I have had all my life. Through this last period I sought support and was referred for talking therapy. I was assigned a lovely young woman called Leah. Although I learned nothing new it helped to talk to someone about the disconnect I felt, someone who was impartial and uninvolved in my life. At this time I was also falsely accused of a Kafkaesque crime which was not immediately explained to me by the police. After repeatedly refusing to admit to the unknown incident I was eventually able to establish that at the time this, supposed, crime was committed I was attending a meeting in a church hall with other members of a support group for clinical depression.
These incidents coloured the tone of this album which looks for redemption amidst chaos."
