The tracks were performed live at various venues across Europe between 2012 and 2014. Theirs is a sonic soundtrack to an apocalyptic world that is hypnotic, yet still full of dynamic sounds and shifts. Their sound insinuates itself somewhere inside the dark ritual ambience of the electronic avant-garde shot through with a vein of experimental noise and sarcophetic vocals strewn amongst industrial surrealism. Contrastate, along other experimental acts from the 80's and 90's, have gone through something of a critical re-assessment of late. Their music has come to be understood on its own terms and nothing like them has really come to take their place.
