"The HIDEG RONCS raise from Budapest, Hungary, and possibly they are the very first real experimental 'underground'-band of this country as yet. Having existed since 1987 in various casts and developing different musical styles, they have now reached a point one could name their music as "natural noise" or "concrete, basic, pure sound". 'HIDEG RONCS' translates as 'cold wreck', but also has an ambigious meaning as 'nervous breakdown'. On their first vinyl the HIDEG RONCS play a kind of ritual music which has nothing to do with a 'gothic' feel to it, using basses, voices and nature-recording only: they go back to where the sound originates and search for the 'heart of hearing' ".
