Stefan Roigks Arbeiten sind im Grenzbereich zwischen abstrakter Klangcollage, plastischer Rauminstallation und grafischer Partitur zu verorten. Dabei liegt sein Augenmerk in der Verquickung der einzelnen Medien in einer gemeinsamen Komposition.
Die vielschichtig dynamischen Schwarzweiß-Illustrationen des Buches Sketches of Laugh and Decay werden in der als Audio-CD beiliegenden Geräuschkomposition Sketches of Love and Delay fortgeführt und verdeutlichen so die Zusammenhänge und zwischen einer ausschliesslich grafischen Partitur und einer ausformulierten Klangcollage. Durch die komplexe Überlagerung und Brechung von abstraktem sowie konkretem Bild- und Tonmaterial ergeben sich scheinbare Narrationsfragmente und -ebenen, zu deren Struktur und Form der Künstler durch die Erlebnisse und Begebenheiten während seines Aufenthaltes in der Künstlerstätte Worpswede inspiriert wurde.

The musique concrète composition SKETCHES OF LOVE AND DELAY continues the multilayered black and white illustrations of the book SKETCHES OF LAUGH AND DECAY and explains the relationship between exclusively graphical scores and formulated sound collages.
The complex superimpositions and breakings of abstract and concrete pictures and sounds form an apparently narrative structure, which was inspired by a residency in the kuenstlerhauser worpswede in early 2008.
