Die Musik, die WOLF EYES auf "Burned Mind" produzieren ist furchteinflößend und nicht unbedingt zum Tanztee oder für romantische Abende mit Freundin gedacht. Dennoch hat diese Art von Musik seine ganz besonderen Reize. Wenn man an THROBBING GRISTLE, die frühen CABARET VOLTAIRE, BLACK FLAG oder auch an die Anfangszeiten der großartigen SONIC YOUTH denkt, sind die Wölfe nicht mehr weit entfernt. Konstantes Touren im Milleniumjahr 2000 bescherte der Gruppe eine breite Fanbasis und öffnete die hermetische Welt des Noise zu einer neuen Generation von Indie-Rockern, Punks und Experimentalisten. Wolf Eyes are at the forefront of a quickly expanding American noise scene. The trio of Nate Young, Aaron Dilloway and John Olson are the epitome of the self sufficient musical entity. Olson and Dilloway have their own labels (American Tapes and Hanson Records respectively) that have been releasing cassettes, CDRs, 7"s, LPs, etc. of Wolf Eyes material since Young first used the moniker in 1997. Their existence as a trio dates to 2000, and they've since released albums on Bulb and Troubleman Unlimited. The music that Wolf Eyes creates is truly terrifying. Sonic touchstones include Throbbing Gristle, early Cabaret Voltaire, Black Flag, Whitehouse, Pre-Asheton Destroy All Monsters, Negative Approach, Swans and early Sonic Youth, with whom they are playing all summer long.
